OUR FUNDING

St. Peter’s Health Partners’ Community Health Programs (CHP) has held public health grants for over 20 years and has shown demonstrable success executing grant deliverables and offering innovative solutions to improve the public’s health and well-being. Currently, the department holds three large multi-year grants with funding from the New York State Department of Health which includes: Health Systems for a Tobacco-Free NY and; Creating Breastfeeding Friendly Communities; and Creating Healthy Schools and Communities. In 2021, CHP received a one-year Hortense and Louis Rubin Community Health Fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital (RUBIN) grant which focuses on increasing access to breastfeeding support in underserved communities, as well as a one-year Blue Shield of Northeastern New York – 2021 Blue Fund Competitive grant focusing on implementing a comprehensive approach to eliminating childhood obesity.
